Description
A refreshing, easy-to-make summer party drink combining fresh peaches, bourbon, lemon juice, and sparkling water. Perfect for last-minute gatherings and customizable for various dietary needs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium ripe peaches
- 1 ½ cups bourbon
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (from 6–8 lemons)
- ¾ cup sugar syrup (or honey/agave)
- 1 ½ cups sparkling water or soda water
- Ice (large cubes preferred)
- Garnish: Peach slices, lemon wheels, fresh mint leaves
Instructions
- Wash peaches and lemons. Slice peaches in half, remove pits, and chop into rough chunks. Slice lemons in half for juicing and cut thin rounds for garnish.
- Place peach chunks in the bottom of a large pitcher. Muddle or crush them with a muddler or wooden spoon to release juices.
- Pour in fresh lemon juice, bourbon, and sugar syrup. Stir well to combine and dissolve the sweetener.
- Add sparkling water to the pitcher and stir gently. Adjust strength by adding more or less sparkling water based on preference.
- Add a handful of ice to chill the mixture.
- Float peach slices, lemon wheels, and mint leaves on top for garnish. Serve immediately.
- For make-ahead preparation, mix the base (peaches, bourbon, lemon, syrup) up to 2 days in advance. Add sparkling water and ice only right before serving.
Notes
Use ripe peaches for best flavor. If using honey, warm it slightly to help it dissolve. For a non-alcoholic version, omit bourbon and add extra sparkling water. The base mixture can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days without the sparkling water and ice.
