Iced Spanish Latte with Sweet Condensed Milk

  • Author: Grace
  • Total Time: 8 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A quick and easy iced Spanish latte made with strong brewed coffee, sweetened condensed milk, milk or cream, and ice. Perfect for busy weeknights when you want a creamy, sweet, and bold coffee treat in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) strong brewed coffee or 2 shots espresso
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup (120 ml) milk or cream (whole milk recommended; heavy cream for richer, skim or almond milk for lighter)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon
  • Optional: cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Brew your coffee or espresso (about 5 minutes). Use a French press or coffee maker for strong coffee or pull two espresso shots. Let it cool slightly or chill in the fridge if time allows.
  2. In a glass, add 3 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk. Slowly pour in the hot coffee or espresso while stirring to dissolve the condensed milk evenly.
  3. Fill the glass with ice cubes until almost full.
  4. Slowly pour ½ cup of your choice of milk or cream over the ice.
  5. Gently stir to combine all flavors without breaking the chill. Optionally, add a pinch of cinnamon or dust with cocoa powder on top.

Notes

Use fresh coffee for best flavor. Do not substitute sweetened condensed milk with regular milk as it provides unique creaminess and sweetness. Chill your glass before assembling to keep the latte icy longer. Avoid stirring too hard to preserve creamy swirls. Adjust sweetness by varying condensed milk amount. For dairy-free, use sweetened condensed coconut milk and plant-based milk.
