Description
A quick, nourishing, and protein-packed shake perfect for busy weeknights, combining ripe banana, almond butter, and protein powder for a creamy, naturally sweet snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large ripe banana (about 120g / 4.2 oz)
- 2 tablespoons smooth, unsweetened almond butter (32g / 1.1 oz)
- 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (about 30g / 1 oz)
- 1 cup milk of choice (240ml / 8 fl oz) – almond, cow’s, or oat milk
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (120g / 4.2 oz), full-fat preferred
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4–6 ice cubes (optional)
- Optional add-ons: 1 handful spinach, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Peel the banana and break it into chunks. Measure out almond butter, protein powder, milk, and Greek yogurt. Prepare spinach or chia seeds if using.
- Add banana, almond butter, protein powder, milk, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, and optional sweetener to the blender. Add ice cubes if desired.
- Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, scraping down sides if needed. The shake should be thick but pourable.
- Taste and adjust sweetness by adding honey or maple syrup if needed. Add more milk if too thick and blend again briefly.
- Pour into a glass or travel cup. Optionally sprinkle cinnamon or chopped almonds on top and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Use super ripe bananas for natural sweetness and creaminess. Chill ingredients for better texture. Avoid too much protein powder to prevent chalkiness. Shake well if stored overnight as separation may occur.
